Have you ever asked yourself do I have a role to play in my child’s school? Well for the parents of pupils in Blackwater Integrated College the answer is definitely “yes”! Do you have views and ideas about how the College operates? Do you have questions about how decisions are made and would you like to have your say? Do you feel you would like to make a positive contribution to your child’s education?

If the answer to any of these questions is “yes” then why not become more involved. Parents have two opportunities to do this, through the Parents’ Association and / or as a Parent Governor sitting on the Board of Governors. All parents of children who attend the College are welcome to attend Parents Association meetings. The Parents’ Association considers a wide range of issues surrounding college life, from fund raising and uniform policy to more serious issues.

There is also a social side which allows parents to make new friends or become re-acquainted with old ones. We would encourage you to come along and are certain you would be made to feel very welcome.
